Christmas with Paw paw and Maw maw.

Colin got a lot of great outfits from Paw paw and Maw maw, but the box they came in was even better! Colin and Bryce were cute sitting in it, then even cuter standing in it, then the cutest hugging each other. What is not shown is the crying that followed when they lost their balance and fell over, Colin on top of Bryce, and hit their heads on the floor. Poor Bryce took the worst of it, what a trooper!

Our budding artist

Colin: Look mommy, I can write on myself!

Brigette: No baby, you are supposed to write on the paper, see like this.

Colin: Oh, I see. Let me try again.

Colin: Ha,ha fooled you. Writing on my belly is way more fun!!

The finished product.

These funnies were made possible by Colin's adopted grandmother, Ms. Marie who is the mother of my boss. A sincere thanks to you Ms. Marie. Some moms would have thought less of this gift, but I think it is great to let Colin experiment with new things, as long as they are washable!

Christmas at Honey's

After presents at home we headed over to Honey's for a great meal and more presents and visiting. Some of Colin's faves were the bouncy horse that was mommy's when she was little and a slide!

Christmas morning at home

Colin was excited to play with a few new toys including a xylophone, hot wheels and a basketball set from the Schembres.

Christmas Eve at the McGoey's

Colin hung in as long as he could this evening and that is saying a lot because he was chasing his cousin Noelle around for most of the day. We had a very nice dinner followed by presents! And bows!!!!Colin loved the bows and was taking them off of every present he could get to. He just walked around handing them out to everyone and was more interested in that than in opening presents. We went home and he was right off to bed giving Santa plenty of time to make a toy drop! Merry Christmas everyone!

Seeing what the fuss is all about

Bear decided to cuddle up with Colin's beloved "puppy blanket" named for the puppies printed on it, not laying on it. He was not impressed and got up shortly after I took this picture. Colin breathed a sigh of relief.

Frosty the bathtime Snowman

AHHHHHH!

This is from the breakfast with Santa. We tried again yesterday at the mall. There was no one in line so we asked if we could go up to Santa before paying so we could see what the reaction was going to be. We did, and got this same reaction about 5 ft from Santa. We are sticking with this photo for 2008! Enjoy:)

Checking out the tree

Yes, our tree is in the corner. Easier to keep it away from curious little hands. Hopefully next year it won't be punished.

Are pigs flying?

They must be somewhere because it snowed in New Orleans this morning! Colin uttered a questioning "Ugh" as we were walking into the kitchen and I was shocked when I looked out of the window. I looked around to make sure my neighbor's house wasn't on fire and what I was seeing wasn't ash falling before going to get Kevin. It was snow and a lot of it by our standards. It continued for a good 2-3 hours and made for some pretty pictures. It was very wet and messy, but we bundled Colin up and went out. He walked in the grass and stumbled and had to put his hands down in the snow. He was ready to go in after that. I was glad that this was one of my off days and got to stay in and enjoy this rare treat with the family. It was beautiful to see, but I'm glad we don't have it all winter!

Breakfast with Santa year 2

What a difference a year makes, for the good and the bad. We attended Breakfast with Santa at Chapelle again this year with Honey. Jessica and Bryce were unable to make it because poor Bryce had a cold. Colin was actually able to eat the breakfast this year, but he did not enjoy the Santa part at all:( This will be our year with the crying picture as seen below.

Mmmmm, grits.

"I'm ready for school, mom!"

"I'm really not ready for Santa though."

See you next year!

Gobble gobble!

We hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and made some wonderful memories with their families. We had a lot of great food and Colin gobbled it up. He now makes the cheesiest "smile for the camera" face. I hope he learns a better one soon!

Note the faces in these 2 pics!

Good morning!

When I went in to wake Colin up this morning his head was in the corner of the bed snuggled up to the bumper pad. Well this is what his hair looks like after that! It was so funny that I had to run to get the camera. Then he gave me that cheesy face (1st pic) when I asked him to smile for the picture. What a ham!
